Dans. Et sted is about re-defining an event for

site-specific art, thinking and talking new territories for dance and choreography rather than an event for site-specific dance.

 

Site-specificity as discourse is in constant flux- 

but the idea of ​​a physical location and spatial awareness is a central part of it.

Dans. Et sted was primarily arranged in as one-day gatherings with numerous site-specific dance performances in Bergen's various urban spaces.

The idea behind Dans. Et sted is to unfold and develop a site-specific tradition in Bergen's dance scene, rooted in previous projects of Riss dansekompani, thud! moving endangered spaces and Oktoberdans as well as countless interdisciplinary performance projects. 

 

In 2016 the Dans. Et sted continued with two interim events in September and December, and these will continue throughout 2017.
